How and why I became a christian...

Like I said before, I still didn't sure that who God is.
I had a lot of experiences with God.
I go to church every week.
I was not sure in my heart.
After I went to church for a month, I went to the camp with the Christian Club.
It is about 7 years ago.
During the camp, My friend send the message to me by pager.
She want me to call her. I didn't have mobile phone at that time.
I ask one of older sisiter in the club for borrowing her mobile phone.
She gave me and said "You may have to pray so you can call your friends because the signal is not good here".
I thought it is funny because I just want to make a call to my friend.
Why do I have to pray for this?
I tried to call my friend.
I didn't know why but I could not call my friend by the phone.
After I tried to call my friend for many times and I could not.
I thought of the thing that my older sister said to me.
I thought that I had a lot of experiences with God.
It may seem so simple in that time.
I just want to make a call.
Anyway, I pray to God "God I had a lot of experiences with You. I still not sure about you.
But this time would you please answer my prayer. Please let me call my friend successfully.
Then I will be sure that You are ture God and I will be christian and follow you all the rest of my life. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen."
After I pray, I tried to call my friend again.
Hallelujah!!!
It was work. I could call my friend.
During the ring of the phone, I heard the sound inside myself "You are my son. You can ask me for what you want.".
It was like I was in a day dream.
It seem so long for me.
My friend answered the phone and said "Hello... Hello... Hello..".
Then I went back to the real world. I talked to my friend.
After I talked to my friend, I thought of the thing that just happen to me.
I was certainly sure in my heart that God is a living God.
I decided that I would be christian in that time.
I truely became christian and I will follow God for the rest of my life.

When I was in Thailand again, after I had been an exchanged student in US for a year(1997-1998).
I went to the special school (Tutor) and I met one of my friend.
I never known that he is christian. He ask me to go church with him.
I don't why he ask me that. I wonder about that.
Well, I decided to go with him. I learn more about Jesus.
Afterthat, I take the national test and get in the university for engineering.
At the university, we, the new students, have to do the activities together.
They seperated us to 40 group, each group about 40 people.
I am in the 11th group.
After I had done some activities, I talk to the older students in my group.
What s surprises??? They are christian. All of the older students in this group are members of Christian Club of the university.
The thing that make me very wonder is there was only one group from 40 of them was set up by Christian Club.
Oh my God!!!
I talk to the older students and shared them about my prayer that I prayed when I was in US about a year ago.
I went to church with them. I learnt many things about God from them and from people in the church.
Anyway, I still wonder about God and was not sure that God is really true God in that time.
I still went to church every weekend...

When I was in the 11th Grade, I had a chance to went to US by AFS(American Field Service) program. I was an exchanged student in US.
I went to church almost every week with my host family.
I heard more about God but I didn't get what I should do.
Anyway, I still remember the day that I heard the bible teacher say to every one on in the room on that Sunday. It was the Sunday that I had been in US for almost a year (AFS program is for year). He said that whoever want to know God or whoever want to know that God is living God, you can pray to Him and He will answer your pray.
I heard that and I thought I want to know who God is.
I want no money form God.
I don't want anything else.
All I want was "Who is God?".
I want to know Him if He is true God.
So I pray to Him.
"God if you are the true God and you can listen to me. Would you please do whatever to let me know you. That 's all I want from you. Thank you."
It was the first time that I pray to God.
After that, about 2 months, I went back to Thailand.
I almost forgot about my prayer...

January 18, 1980- I was born in Chachoengsao, Thailand.
My family is not rich. It is ordinary family in Thailand.
Well, before I was born, my family was in a hard time.
My Dad had to work very hard.
My home is the bicycle shop and sells a lot of things.
I am last son of my Dad. I was very active when I was child.
I love to play football.
I started my education at a school near my home.
The first time, I heard about Jesus.
Someone gave a small book about God to me at the gate of the school.
I read it then I thought God is good. I didn’t think anything else.
Then I went far a bit to another city for my secondary school.

I am Thai. My age is 26. My nickname is ake.
I would like to share my experiences with God to all of you and I hope that you will share your experiences with God to me and anyone else.
I will share about serving God in Thailand (You can share yours!!! I want to read your experiences in serving God in Thailand or other countries.)
